SHOPKO ANNOUNCES “KICK-OFF KID CONTEST” FOR GREEN BAY PACKERS’ HOME GAMES THIS FOOTBALL SEASON

August 19, 2015 – As excitement builds for the start of another professional football season, Shopko is giving children across the country an opportunity to serve as the “kick-off kid” at Lambeau Field, home to the Green Bay Packers, one of the most storied franchises in professional sports.

Open to children ages 6-12 (entrant must be over the age of 18), the “Kick-Off Kid Contest” sponsored by Shopko will provide one lucky young fan per Packers’ home game during the 2015-16 season with a prize package that includes four free tickets and a once-in-a-lifetime experience of running onto the field to pick up the tee after the initial kick-off. To enter, go to www.facebook.com/shopko, and follow the instructions.

Each child may be entered once for each of the following Packers’ home games hosted at Lambeau Field this season:

September 20 – Seattle

September 28 – Kansas City

October 11 – St. Louis

October 18 – San Diego

November 15 – Detroit

November 26 – Chicago

December 13 – Dallas

January 3 – Minnesota

For the final home game of the regular season, Shopko will select five winners, with each receiving four tickets to the game. Fans will be asked to vote on which young fan will be picked as the kick-off kid for that game – encouraging voters to rally around their hometown representative.

We can’t wait to see the excitement on the face of the winners as they race onto the field to grab the tee.”

The contest will run through December 6, 2015 at 11:59 pm CST, with winners being announced well in advance of each game.
