A 21-year-old man died Wednesday night in what state police investigators are calling an “accidental shooting.” Troopers from the Negaunee Post were dispatched to N 1311 County Road KCI near Big Bay at 9:22 pm. The victim was taken by ambulance to UP Health System-Marquette, where he later was pronounced dead.
The investigation continues, and the victim’s name has not been released. State Police officials say there is no ongoing threat to public safety because of the incident.
