Sharon Avenue will be closed today at the site of the washout that occurred during the Father’s Day flood, between Ridge Road and Razorback Drive. Houghton City Manager Eric Waara said they had an unexpected opportunity to get a contractor to the site to surface the road. Fine grading will begin this morning, and paving will follow. The road will be reopened as soon as the new pavement can handle traffic – probably late tomorrow.
