The first Sensory Sensitive event that was held Friday at the Houghton County Fair is being deemed successful. The Copper Country Autism Group purchased fair admissions. Skerbeck Entertainment provided two-hour ride passes, and then dimmed the lights and turned off the sounds to accommodate those on the autistic spectrum who have trouble dealing with commotion. 33 families took advantage, and reported that children enjoyed the rides and games – many for the first time.
