“Senior” Prom at Calumet HS

With the school year winding down, students from Calumet and Lake Linden High Schools held a special event with the senior citizens of the community. A senior prom was held this past Saturday and was organizaed by the student group Teens Who Care. Event Coodinator Sue Fouts talks about how the idea for this event came to be.
The event was put together in coordination with Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly and Services Coordinator Rebekkah Mikkola says the reaction so far has been positive.
The event was filled with prom attire, opportunities for pictures and music. The hope is that this event can be done each year after the students’ prom.
