More Michiganders are buckling up.
Anne Readett with the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning says there is a lot of truth to the fact that an entire generation of drivers and passengers have grown up with seat belt laws around, and that they really don’t think twice about fastening that safety belt when they get in the car.
Research shows 92.8 percent buckled up last year and that number is up to 94.5 percent this year.
