Search For Songbirds At Nara Wetlands

Want to get out and explore nature while checking out some great songbirds?

The Western U.P. Center for Science, Math and Environmental Education is inviting families and children out to the Nara Chalet and Interpretive Center today to use binoculars to explore the Nara wetlands for migrant songbirds.

You can also test your nest-building skills and design a nest that can withstand a strong wind!

The event is part of the monthly series of nature exploration programs held each Monday and one Saturday.

Each event focuses on a different topic and is lead by an environmental educator.

All events are designed to engage parents and children outside so you are advised to dress appropriately, including a rain coat and rain boots for Spring events.

Activities begin at 6:30pm and it is open to the public.
