SeafoodFest Becomes Bridgefest Feast

This year’s Bridgefest weekend will have a different look. The Houghton Rotary Club has turned its traditional Seafoodfest into Bridgefest Feast. Rotarian Bill Musselman says most of the food preparation will be taken over by professionals from the Library Restaurant, Habañeros, Fitzgerald’s and MTU Dining Services… MUSSELMAN A. Musselman says that will mean a wider selection of food… and less pressure on event volunteers. The Rotary Club will raise funds through sponsorships, the sale of beer and wine, and a cover charge paid by those who wish to purchase beer and wine… MUSSELMAN B. The entertainment portion of the event will stay the same… with a variety of bands performing. The Rotary Club has also teamed up with the Bridgefest Committee to beef up this year’s fireworks display… MUSSELMAN C.
