The search is back on for escaped Houghton County Jail inmate John Saatio.
According to The Tico Times News, the 34-year-old Saatio escaped from an Costa Rican immigration detention center Sunday night by crawling through a ventilation duct during dinner.
Saatio has been wanted out of Houghton since last summer on charges of home invasion and destruction of police property.
He originally escaped custody while being returned from a court appearance roughly one year ago.
Costa Rican authorities caught Saatio back on June 2nd.
He was being held in a detention center with 37 inmates.
Officials say those inmates are guarded by three to four workers at any given time.
He was scheduled to be extradited back to America later this year.
