A Marquette Democrat has formally joined the race to unseat 38th District Republican State Senator Tom Casperson. Adam Robarge is an Alpena native who works as the community liaison for the Ore Dock Brewing Company… where his announcement took place on Saturday. In a press release, Robarge promised to work for “a new direction that takes us into a future of sustainability both with our environment and our economy.” He has also served as the Upper Peninsula Coordinator of the downstate group Keep Michigan Wolves Protected. As to his specific positions, the “Issues” page on his website is empty. Robarge will face Gladstone Democrat Chris LeMarche in the Democratic primary on August 5th.
