Six of the remaining suspects in the major drug bust in Baraga County back in December will be arraigned today. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested 17 people in December on federal, state and tribal warrants. Five of the suspects were arraigned a few days after the arrest on federal warrants. The warrants include a total of 48 counts related to the sale and distribution of narcotics in Baraga County. UPSET says the arrests are the result of a year-long joint investigation with the FBI’s Upper Peninsula Safe Trails Task Force and an agent from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
