Registration for Organizations, Livestock and Exhibits End Next Week for the Houghton County Fair

Clubs and organizations, 4-H club kids, and exhibitors need to register with the Houghton County Fair Board by next week to set up a spot at the fair. The Houghton County Fair Board will begin to close registration for various arts of the County fair’s activities next week. Starting Monday, the county fair asks those with livestock planning to participate in the auction and other animal activities to register by 7 pm August 12th. Clubs and organizations planning to set up a table inside the Houghton County arena for the vendors and group space will need to register by Wednesday. Open Youth and Open Department Still exhibit registration will end on Thursday the 15th. You do not need to bring your exhibit to register. The Houghton County Fair Board expects exhibitors to bring their items to the exhibitor building between August 20th and 21st. Judging will also take place over those two days. Fair organizers suggest giving yourself enough time to place the exhibit tag on your item before 1 pm. Preprinted tags will be available starting the 19th.
