Preparations are underway for this year’s Bridgefest.
Construction on the Hancock side of the canal won’t dampen the parade but there will be a change in the route this year.
The parade will start at Michigan Tech and come down College Ave through town to the Ambassador Restaurant.
The call is on for participants in the parade, Bridgefest Committee’s Dave Crowley says who can take part.
Crowley says pre-registration is very important to making sure everything runs smoothly.
Registration for vendors is also now open if you’d like to spotlight your business or organization on the Houghton Waterfront during Bridgefest.

Bridgefest provides a chance for interested parties to display their business or organization for thousands to see.
Just $150 gives you access to 3 days of foot traffic past your site.
Vendor space is approximately 12×12 feet, additional room at the reduced cost of $100 each lot.
Location will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register now!
Registration forms and payment must be received by the Bridgefest Committee to the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerceby June 3rd, 2016 at 5 p.m.
