Recreation Passport Fee Increases For Some Motorists

Motorist who use the state park system will soon have an additional fee, if they choose not to purchase the state recreation passport at the time that they renew their license plate.

Starting at the beginning of the year the DNR will be charging a five dollar fee, on top of the $11 passport price for those who make the purchase at the park rather than Secretary of State.

Currently Secretary of state charges the same fee, if the passport is purchased when not renewing plates. More information can be found at michigan.gov.
