With beautiful fall colors becoming more and more prevalent, the Western Hemisphere’s only ski flying hill his breaking attendance records. 5,800 visitors have come to the Copper Peak Adventure ride in Ironwood so far this year, about 1,000 more than in previous years. The ride had 500 riders last Saturday. Copper Peak officials credit a new marketing campaign and social media for the increase in visitors to the ride. The adventure ride is scheduled to be open through October 19, but that could change depending on color availability and weather conditions. Copper Peak is located 10 miles north of Ironwood on County Road 513.
