Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is extending a rate freeze through the end of the year on some of its health care plans.
The freeze in its Legacy Medigap supplement plans will help nearly 200,000 subscribers prepare for rate hikes that will start next year.
It’ll be the first rate hike since 2011.
After January 1, the Michigan Health Endowment Fund will begin providing financial support for low-income Medigap enrollees.
