Rare Human Respiratory Disease Now Being Found In Dogs

Researchers at Michigan State University say a respiratory disease — known as Pulmonary Veno-occlusive Disease — is being found in dogs.

Dr. Tom Resler, of the Resler Animal Hospital, tells says the K-9 disease may serve as the model for human PVOD.

The disease, which is a severe form of pulmonary hypertension, is essentially a death sentence.
