Range Lions Club Recognized For 25 Years Adopt-A-Highway Participation

The Range Lions Club is being recognized by the State of Michigan for their efforts in keeping highways clean.

The club received a certificate from the Michigan Department of Transportation for their 25 years of participating in the Adopt A Highway project.

Volunteers will be back at it again this year, picking up litter along M-26 from Painesdale to South Range on Monday, May 16th.

At their regular monthly meeting this week, the club also agreed to sponsor a queen candidate again in the annual Chassell Strawberry Festival and made plans for their annual Fourth of July celebration.

The Range Lions Club also donated money to several local organizations, including Teaching Family Homes and Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.
