When the Quincy Smelter Association offers another set of tours of the historic site on Saturday, something will be different. You won’t see it… but the site now has a new owner. The Keweenaw National Historic Park has officially taken over the property that was owned for many years by Quincy Township. KNHP Advisory Commission Executive Director Scott See says changes will come slowly… but they will come… SEE. The sale of the property came after a long fundraising campaign that raised more than 330-thousand dollars.. Saturday’s tours begin at the top of each hour from 11:00 until 3:00. Wear sturdy shoes.
