Imagine you are flown in to speak at an event and you just found out you won the Pulitzer prize. That’s what happened yesterday afternoon when Composer John Luther Adams arrived at Houghton County Airport as he received a phone call notifying him that he just won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize in Music. Adams should be in a celebratory mood later today where he will be speaking at the Rosza Center for a panel discussion and lecture. The panel discussion entitled What can arts and science say to each other is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. and the lecture will be at 7:30 p.m. Both events are free to the public.
