Public Input Sought for Renewable Energy Plan

If you are an electric customer of the Ontonagon County REA you’re being given the opportunity to review and comment on the power providers proposed renewable energy plan.

The company recently filed an application for approval of the plan with the Michigan Public Service Commission as mandated by the “Clean, Renewable and Efficient Energy Act”.

The plan documents can be viewed at the Ontonagon offices of the power company, and at Michigan.gov/mpscedockets. Written and electronic comments must be filed with and received by the Commission no later than 5:00 pm, on February 8th.

Under the act, any proposed Renewable Energy plan charges may not exceed $3 per meter per month for residential customers.
