U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan says the proposal creates a new “care management planning session” for those newly diagnosed with the disease.
The measure, she says, will also encourage doctors to diagnose more patients with Alzheimer’s, giving patients access to doctor visits, treatment options.
Stabenow made the announcement in Lansing Wednesday.
It’s believed 185,000 people in Michigan have Alzheimer’s Disease.
