Property Tax Foreclosure Auction Set

The date has been set for the annual auction of tax-foreclosed properties in the western Upper Peninsula. Properties in Baraga, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw and Ontonagon Counties that have been reclaimed for delinquent taxes will go on the block August 25th at the Northern Waters Casino in Watersmeet. There is also a process for online bidding. Inventory includes homes, commercial buildings and vacant land. All tax-foreclosed properties are sold “as-is,” for cash.
