Primary Elections Day

Today the polls will be open and the primary election will take place. Although there won’t be many decisions being made, there are some races that will be contested including incumbent Dan Benishek going up against Alan Arcand for the Republican party’s representative for the 1st Congressional U.S. District and the Republican side of the Houghton County Commissioners race in District 1 will be between incumbent Tom Tikkanen and Eugene Londo. Proposal 1 on the state ballot regarding the personal property tax will also look for approval.
