Presidential Election Blamed For Lowered Car Sales Estimates

Auto analysts are starting to scale back their sales projections for 2016.

LMC Automotive, which had been expecting this to be a record year for car sales, now expects this year’s sales to be around 17.4 million, a little below last year’s level.

LMC Analyst Jeff Schuster blames the high level of uncertainty because normally presidential elections help car sales.
