Preliminary Work on the Bridge

With the Portage Lake Lift Bridge Rehab Project set to begin this month, some preliminary work will be done starting this Sunday that will cause some delays. The work will be done tonight and tomorrow night between the times of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The delays will be sporadic, lasting anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. Dan Weingarten from MDOT say the contractor will be conducting some necessary prep work in advance of the project.

MDOT officials would also like to remind residents about the public forum that will be going on this Thursday night at Michigan Tech.
