Ohio Governor and possible presidential candidate John Kasich stopped in Lansing Tuesday, in what appeared to be a precursor of an expected campaign announcement.
Governor Kasich met with members of the Small Business Association of Michigan, and courted support at a gathering of Republicans in Ingham County Tuesday night.
If he joins the field of Republican presidential hopefuls, he’ll be vying for the candidacy among a dozen or more others.
Kasich told reporters if he runs, it will be to win, and as he is making his contacts he says “thing’s are looking real good,” adding that he’ll make a decision “soon.”
Kasich is on a tour of six states over an eight day period.
