Post Office Lowers Prices For The First Time In 100 Years

Beginning today, the cost to people mailing letters and postcards will be a little less.

For the first time in 100-years, the U.S. Postal Service has lowered prices.

Stamps for first-class letters now cost 47-cents. That’s down from 49. And postcards will cost 34-cents to mail instead of 35.

The higher prices for stamps were set to help pay for operations.
