Porcupine Mountains Tourism Group Announces Winner Of Fall Giveaway

ONTONAGON, Mich. (Nov. 10, 2015)—The Porcupine Mountains Ontonagon Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (PMCVB) has announced the winner of its recent Fall in Love with the Porcupine Mountains Sweepstakes.

Megan Wegner of Green Bay, Wis., was selected as the grand-prize winner in the sweepstakes, which ran through October 16. The grand-prize package includes a two-night stay at the AmericInn Lodge & Suites Silver City, a state park pass to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Parkand a $100 prepaid credit card.

More than 2,300 people from across the country entered the sweepstakes, which was designed to promote fall travel to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. From marvelous fall color along miles of hiking trails to beautiful vistas at Lake of the Clouds and on the shores of Lake Superior, visitors will find boundless fall beauty during their visit to the Porcupine Mountains.

But it’s not just fantastic fall color that brings fans here. Visitors can find plenty to do year-round in the Porcupine Mountains, whether it’s skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter or hiking, biking and trail running in the summer.
