A new survey shows a majority of Michigan voters are opposed to ending the state’s prevailing wage law.
The poll conducted by Lansing-based EPIC/MRA for Michigan Prevails, a coalition of business and labor organizations, shows fewer than a third of state voters support ending prevailing wage laws.
49% of those surveyed say the prevailing wage law should be kept as it is, 29% say it should be repealed and eliminated while 22 percent were undecided or refused to answer.
The telephone poll of 400 likely voters was conducted May 19 and 20.
