Police Looking for Owner of Canoe

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the owner of a canoe found near Sturgeon River Falls. Deputies responded to a report of an aluminum canoe found Sunday on the Sturgeon River in Laird Township. The canoe is aluminum with large square stickers near both ends and a large blue stripe down one side. Anyone with information regarding the ownership of the canoe is asked to call the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.
