Michigan Congressman Gary Peters has a slight lead over former Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land in a new poll on the U.S. Senate race. Public Policy Polling finds the suburban Detroit Democrat has a 41% to 36% lead over Land. In December, the firm’s numbers gave the Republican Land a two-percent lead, 42% to 40%. According to pollsters, Peters is doing well with independent voters and is being boosted by a more positive public perception of the Affordable Care Act’s rollout.
