Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Houghton

The Houghton Police Department reports they are investigating a personal injury accident which occurred on Friday, May 29th just before 4:00pm.

A vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Houghton woman was pulling off of Huron Street on to Sheldon Avenue.

A 41-year-old Hancock woman was walking across the road on Sheldon Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was held at fault for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported by Mercy Ambulance to U.P. Health—Portage for treatment.

Her condition has not been released.
