Pasty Fest returns to 5th Street in Calumet tomorrow. Several popular activities will surely draw a crowd, such as the poetry slam tonight, or the pasty eating competition at 3 pm. But one of the festival’s most popular competitions asks the whole community for their input. The Pasty Fest Bake Off. This year’s kits will include samples of pastys from Jim’s Pizza Calumet, Jen’s Bakery, the Mohawk Superette, Krupps Mini Mart, Bosio Biscuit Company, Griffin Family Café, and Catering, Sheyboygen Pasty Co, The Matador, and East Fork Company. The Pasty Fes bake-off boxes will become available at noon. Typically those interested in judging this year’s pasty competition will begin to line up early at 5th and Scott. Boxes this year will cost 40 dollars. Those interested in participating in the Pasty Fest bake-off or other activities at Pasty Fest tomorrow can find more details here.
