Parent Advocacy Workshop Invites the Community Share Challenges Experienced While Searching for Childcare

In the last two years, the Keweenaw Family Resource Center has been working toward solutions to bridge the gap in childcare needs in the Copper Country. To better understand the challenges families in the community are facing while searching for childcare options in the region, KFRC will host a Parent Advocacy Workshop on Thursday. Parents can provide important feedback to childcare industry leaders in the region about their own experiences in obtaining care. Those participating in the workshop can enjoy a light dinner and a stipend for attending. The Great Start Collaborative and Upper Peninsula Michigan Works will lead the workshop. The parent advocacy workshop on Thursday will begin at 5 pm, in the KFRC offices at Trinity Episcopal Church in Houghton. Those interested in learning more about the workshop can find registration information below.
