A state panel has put off a vote on whether to recommend medical marijuana be used by children with severe autism.
The Michigan Medical Marijuana Review Panel was due to vote Monday but postponed the vote until July 31st to study the issue more.
A petition is before the panel to allow children with severe autism to use medical marijuana oil extract to control their physical behavior.
Proponents say it works.
The panel can vote the idea up or down, sending their recommendation on to a state agency.
