Pacifier Holder Recall

Playtex is recalling 1.4 million pacifier holders because of concern that a small child could choke if a part of the clip broke off. The clips are used to connect a pacifier to clothing, diaper bags or strollers. Playtex has received 99 reports of the holder cracking or breaking, but no injuries have been reported. The plastic clips feature a figure and a “Playtex” copyright logo that slides up and down to adjust the clip, a ribbon and a clear plastic ring that stretches to fit the pacifier. The pacifier holder was sold in green with a monkey figure, pink with a flower and blue with a tow truck. They’re made in China. The recall includes 1.25 million clips sold in the U.S. from 2010 through October 2013 for about $3 at major retailers including Walmart. Consumers should immediately contact Playtex for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.
