Ontonagon Veterans Bridge Bill Moves On

A bill created to honor local veterans has taken one step closer to becoming approved. Representative Scott Dianda, who introduced the bill, says the bill was voted out of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee yesterday. The bill would name the M-64 bridge over the Ontonagon River in Ontonagon Township the “Ontonagon County Veterans Memorial Bridge.” Dianda says the bill is an important piece of legislation due to the number of veterans in the Copper Country.

The bill now goes to the House and Senate for approval.
