Ontonagon Accident Turns Fatal

A Greenland Township accident that took place ten days ago has turned fatal. 42-year-old Daniel Laurich of Ontonagon passed away Friday. He had been on life support for six days at Aspirus Wasau Hospital in Wisconsin. Laurich failed to stop at the intersection of M-38 and M-26 in Ontonagon County on the night February 15th before running his vehicle into a snowbank. A preliminary report from the Michigan State Police suggests that the vehicle’s breaks were not affective and had rusted through before becoming disconnected.
