OK2Say got 2,000 Tips in 2015

A safety initiative that encourages K-12 students to report harmful or illegal activities received over 2,000 tips in 2015.

The Attorney General’s office and Michigan State Police (MSP) say the OK2Say program got 2,165 tips in 30 categories, including: bullying; suicide threats; self-harm; and cyberbullying.

The OK2Say website mi-dot-gov-slash-ok2say and hotline 8-555-OK2SAY allows students to anonymously report potentially harmful or illegal behavior. They can also text tips to OK2SAY.

The OK2Say program is operated through a partnership between the A-G’s office, MSP, parents and community leaders.

The initiative was launched in 2014.
