Rosemarie E. Winnie, 62, a resident of Calumet passed away at her daughters home on Friday November 22, 2024 following a short illness.
She was born on April 14, 1962 in Laurium a daughter of the late Lois and Eleanor (Lukima) Ucman.
She graduated from Wayne High School with the class of 1981
She was united in marriage to her lifelong sweetheart Ronald Winnie on November 30th. They met each other when she was 16 and he was 19 and have been together ever since.
Rosemarie was employed at Meijer in Taylor, MI for 10 years working in the shipping and receiving department. In 1997 she moved back to the Copper Country to care for her parents.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Eleanor, her two sisters in law: Jean and Sandra.
Rose is survived by:
Husband Roanld Lewis Winnie Jr.
Daughter: Shylynn
Grandchildren: Nevaeh and Guyius
Brothers: Louis “Butch” (Terri) Ucman of Calumet, Joe Ucman of Calumet and Scott (Sandra) Ucman of Ohio.
Special nephews Noah and Dakota, special niece Dawn, special cousins: Lisa and Robin.
Best friend Shelia Mousseau
Special friends: Christina Robertson and Ashley Paulson
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
