Phillip Switzer, 72, a resident of Mohawk Michigan passed away on Saturday November 20, 2021 at UP Health System-Portage.
Phillip was born in Flint Michigan on October 10, 1949 to Mary Lou Switzer. He graduated High school and attended one year of college before starting a career with General Motors Company. On July 22, 1972 he married the love of his life, Barbara Pelland and he faithfully stayed by her side until his passing. After retiring from General Motors he and Barbara moved to Mohawk MI where he spent the rest of his life. During his time in Mohawk he became a master Chip Carver.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Basil and Mary Lou Switzer, and his sister’s Jane and Lynette, and his brother Calvin.
Phillip is survived by his wife; Barbara (Pelland) Switzer, His Son; Mark (Brenda) Switzer of Copper City, and his daughter; Kimberley A Gilbert of Calumet, and his four Grandchildren.
