Philip Medlin, age 71, of L’Anse, Michigan passed away on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at Bayside Village in L’Anse, MI.
He was born November 4, 1951 in Rocky Mount, NC son of Auburn and Lucille (Driver) Medlin. Philip grew up and attended school in Rocky Mount. He married Trudy House on November 24, 1984 in Rocky Mount. Philip was a self employed paint contractor, retiring in 2020. In 2020, he and his wife moved to L’Anse, MI to be closer to family.
Surviving are his wife Trudy Medlin of L’Anse; children, Terrell Medlin and Nikki (Terry) Johnson both of Rocky Mount, McDonough Lee (Dwayne) Whitley and Skylar (Benjamin) Bakewell both of L’Anse; brother Willard (Teresa) Medlin of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren, Jameson, Leanne, Jessica, Caleb, and Brittin Boone, Alex Johnson, Thea, Addalynn, and Oliver Bakewell; five great grandchildren, Karli, Caison, Kaislee, Colston, and Chloe Bissette.
Preceding him in death are his parents Auburn and Lucille.
The family will have a private celebration of life. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
