Jerry Edward Winkworth Jr., age 62 of Kenton, MI passed away on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse, MI.
He was born October 28th, 1961 in Wakefield, MI son of Alice (Gerick) and Jerry Edward Winkworth Sr. Jerry grew up in Ewen-Trout Creek area. He married Della Voshell on Sept. 1, 2001 at the Mill Pond in Trout Creek. Jerry worked for Nordine Logging of Land O’Lakes for 25 years, then for Terex for a few years prior to retiring.
Jerry was adventurous always liked being outside whether he was 3 wheeling or 4 wheeling with friends, hunting or fishing or just going for a car ride. He liked to go to the casino and messing around on his computer, but the thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family.
Surviving are his brother, Dennis Winkworth of Kenton; son Erick (Amber) Johnson of Swartz Creek, MI; step children, Anne (Ryan) Noe of Wappapello, MO, Kayla Harper of Trout Creek, James Harper of Crystal Falls, Brenda (Michael) Mulgrew of Wytheville, VA, Leslie Freund of Crystal Falls; grandchildren, Abel, Dylan, Samara, Ally, Scott, Chase; niece Tara (John) Bohto of Crystal Falls; great nephew and nieces, Connor, Aryana, and Kya.
Preceding him in death are his parents Jerry and Alice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial in the Kenton Cemetery in the spring. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
