Obituary: Daryl Ernest Puuri

     Daryl Ernest Puuri, 41, a beloved son, nephew, brother, father and grandfather, unexpectedly passed away at his home in Calumet.

He was born on May 19, 1983, in Hancock, MI, to his loving parents Duane and Brenda (Olson) Puuri.

Daryl was raised in Houghton and attended the Houghton Schools.

Currently, Daryl was working as the morning shift manager for Burger King in Calumet.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Hancock.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents Edwin and Ingrid Puuri, Milton Anderson. Irving & Barbara Olson (Robert Hogback) and his Godfather/uncle James Puuri.

Daryl’s memory will forever be cherished by his family

His parents Duane and Brenda Puuri

His brothers, Duane “DJ” Puuri and Derek (Natalie) Puuri

His children; Sylas, Demi Jo, Madisen and Alyssa Puuri

His granddaughter: Laylah Puuri

His niece & nephew; Kaelyn & Kyler Puuri as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service for Daryl will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church of Hancock with Pastor Jesse Aho to officiate.  Burial will be in the Liminga Cemetery

Friends may call on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of services at the Zion Lutheran Church of Hancock.

Daryl’s presence brought joy, laughter & unconditional love to all who knew him.  He will be deeply missed by all, but his spirit and love will live forever in our hearts.
