Number of Chickenpox Cases Up

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is reporting an increase in the number of chickenpox cases.

Chickenpox is highly contagious, with the virus spreading easily through coughing, sneezing, and other contact.

The illness can result in children missing several days of school, so the Department recommends that parents make sure their children are up-to-date on their chickenpox vaccination.
