Norway Man Pleads Guilty To Charge Following Standoff With Police

A Norway man has entered a guilty plea after a two-hour standoff incident Sunday evening.

51-year-old Robert Anderson pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm under the influence Monday afternoon in Dickinson County District Court.

Officers from the Norway Police Department say they were called to a domestic incident around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, they found that Anderson had barricaded himself in a trailer behind a house with a firearm.

Police say he didn’t threaten anyone but himself.

They were able to take Anderson into custody around 11:30 p.m.

Anderson will be sentenced July 21st.
