Governor Rick Snyder has announced that while there is no immediate threat of Ebola in Michigan, the state is vigilantly working with the health and medical community to be prepared to deal with any threat the virus could pose to Michiganders. The governor says the State Police, along with state and local health officials are prepared for — and are vigilant against — any threat of the Ebola virus. The governor says the risk of an Ebola outbreak in the US is very low, but the state still have emergency response plans in place that will make sure Michigan is prepared for any possible threat.
