Lake Superior State University has named a new president. The university’s Board of Trustees says it has reached an agreement with Thomas Pleger and is expected to formalize his appointment at its regular meeting on January 24 in the Walker Cisler Center on the Sault Ste. Marie campus. Pleger is campus executive officer and dean of the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County. Pleger replaces current LSSU President Tony McLain, who announced in 2012 that he would be retiring. He will be LSSU’s eighth president.
