New Poll Shows Governor's Approval Rate Drop

Governor Rick Snyder’s approval rating continues to plummet in the wake of the Flint water crisis.

A poll by Lansing-based Epic-MRA shows 69 percent of Michigan voters give Snyder a negative job approval rating and when asked how he’s handling the problem with high lead levels in Flint’s drinking water, 75 percent say he’s not doing a good job.

Asked whether the governor should resign, 41 percent say yes, while 50 percent say he should stay and fix the problem.

Reacting to the survey, the governor says he’s seen ups and downs in the polls and he’s just staying focused on solutions.

The poll of 600 likely Michigan voters has a margin of error of plus or minus four percent.
